Volunteer to Coach a House League Team

A great way to be involved, help develop players' skills, and impact the lives of our athletes and your community!   HL Coaching Application

What do I need to know?
WMGSA will provide everything you need! At the pre-season coaches meeting, you will be given a booklet with the rules for your division, scoresheets, and team line-up to use throughout the season. Each team will be provided with an equipment bag that the coaches are responsible to bring to each session. You will be responsible for communicating with your players and their families in between sessions as necessary and most importantly providing encouragement during practices and game play!

U7/U9 (T-ball & Mini-Mite): These divisions combine structured player development with game play to keep players learning, engaged & having fun.  Mini-mite is a coach-pitch division (a coach, or other adult will pitch to the players).

U11-U19: Coaches are responsible for 30-min of team practice prior to a 90-min game. In each of these divisions, the players pitch (with certain modifications to rules for Mite U11).

Training: WMGSA provides a coaching clinic designed for house league coaches. At least one coach from each team must have participated in this clinic.

Each coach must provide a police record check (vulnerable sector) to the WMGSA office.
